Include "keywords" meta tags in your documents. Use a "keywords" meta tag in a document is to simply list words that you think are particularly relevant to the document. This is a good way to include "terms" that will be searched without them being visible to the user.

This is especially important in highly graphical pages without much actual text. This technique is also a good way to include mis-spelled words that you think users might use when searching for your documents.

Include "description" meta tags in your documents. Under each document title on the search results pages there is a short description of the document. If your documents contain a "description" meta tag, the contents of this tag will be displayed as the summary. If there is no "description" meta tag, a summary is derived from the first few lines in the document. By supplying a description meta tag you can provide users with a clear description of your document. In addition, terms included in the "description" meta tag are considered more important than words in the body of the document when determining the order of documents on the search results page.
